NEW STAR PROGRAM

beginning September 2007

We have changed our star program to improve the efficiency and consistency of gymnasts moving levels within the recreational program. On average, each student in levels 1 through Intermediate are taught 30 skills. Five key skills will be required in order to progress to the next level. When your child masters one of the 5 key skills, he or she will receive a star for that skill and their star card will be initialed by their coach. These five skills that need to be mastered are difficult skills and might require many months of practice to achieve. Please note that not every child will receive a star at the same time. There is no longer an official "star week". When a student has completed the required 5 skills, their card will be signed by the coach and can be taken to the front desk for scheduling to the next level.
